CONFLICT RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE
Mr. Gomez first began work as a mediator and arbitrator more than 15 years ago, and has developed the ability to make each side feel heard, and to provide focus and clarity in reaching solutions.
His mediation skills include attention to detail, depth of substantive knowledge, and an acute sense of how a case is going to appear to a jury and judge. He combines these attributes with excellent people skills, often being able to coax even the most recalcitrant party into moderating their position.
As a arbitrator, Mr. Gomez makes sure that all sides have a full chance to present their case, and then is not afraid to make a tough decision.
All of these skills have been honed during decades as an advocate in employment disputes, primarily in law firms in Los Angeles. While Mr. Gomez has generally represented management in these disputes, he has also represented individual employees, as well as a continuing practice as an expert witness and workplace investigator.
