Eydith J. Kaufman, Esq.

Eydith J. Kaufman, Esq.

Mediator

Eydith Kaufman has 25 years of experience as a civil litigation attorney, including working in high volume trial firms and handling a variety of cases including medical malpractice, wrongful death, commercial and contractual disputes and personal injury, among other areas. Ms. Kaufman can help you move through injuries, insults and impasses to avoid further litigation. When starting out, she primarily handled defense work, but also worked on plaintiff cases, including her first trial on a plaintiff’s pregnancy discrimination case.
When returning primarily to defense work, Ms. Kaufman earned a reputation for being respectful and professional, often resulting in the ability to work out issues informally with plaintiffs’ counsel when possible, while still zealously advocating her client’s position. She has gone to trial on cases involving brain injuries, wrongful death and multiple plaintiffs’ bodily injury. Throughout her career, she has represented a variety of clients, from individuals unfamiliar with the legal system, to small businesses, to large corporations and governmental agencies.
Ms. Kaufman has extensive experience in mediating cases on behalf of her clients, and uses that experience to help craft an efficient and effective mediation based on the needs of all participants. She is tenacious and will work tirelessly as a neutral to bring the participants to a resolution so they can avoid the risks, stresses and costs associated with trial. With her background in medical malpractice and complex injury cases, Ms. Kaufman has a quick grasp of the causation issues that may affect liability and damages in matters involving personal injury, and can aid the participants in achieving creative solutions where needed.
