CONFLICT RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE

After graduating from Duke University School of Law in 1990, Jonathon Kaplan joined Lewis, D'Amato, Brisbois & Bisgaard LLP, where he quickly rose to the level of equity partner. After 11 years, he founded his own firm, Kaplan Lee Friedman LLP, where he focuses on products liability, consumer litigation, environmental and toxic torts, and international litigation. With a Master of Laws in foreign and international law, he is well-versed in issues relating to the representation of foreign entities in California State and Federal Courts. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in these types of matters.

Mr. Kaplan has tried dozens of civil and criminal trials, resulting in several published opinions. He continues to try several matters a year. In May 2001, he was named one of the "Top 20 Lawyers Under 40" in California by the Los Angeles Daily Journal. He is uniquely situated to provide clients with a well defined perspective on their cases, most often leading to early negotiated resolutions. Mr. Kaplan has extensive mediation and alternative dispute resolution education and training.
